Olivier Award nominated Canadian actor Alex Gaumond will join the company in the role of Miss Trunchbull and Kay Murphy will play Mrs Wormwood from 3 September 2013. Haley Flaherty will continue in the role of Miss Honey. Further casting will be announced soon.

Eight schools have been shortlisted from the Write Here Write Now with Matilda National Writing Challenge. On Tuesday 11 June, each of the shortlisted schools will watch cast members from Matilda The Musical perform the selected scenes and songs in a one off performance at the Cambridge Theatre.

Following the fantastic reviews for our Broadway opening in New York last week, we are delighted to announce that over 250,000 extra tickets have been released and Matilda The Musical is now booking in London until May 2014.

Matilda The Musical opened on Broadway last night to cheers and a full standing ovation.
