Performance Rights

SCHOOLS

Unfortunately professional and amateur performance rights of Matilda The Musical are not yet released, but the creators of the smash-hit West End and Broadway show are hoping to create a junior version to be released in the future by the renowned licensing agency MTI.

If you just can’t wait that long, it is possible for your school to get a licence for a short version of the smash-hit West-End and Broadway Musical based on Roald Dahl’s wonderful book.

Matilda The Musical (in 20 minutes) features five songs by Tim Minchin with linking passages and excerpts from the script by Dennis Kelly. This version will be available for a limited time prior to the official release by MTI of the hotly-anticipated new Matilda The Musical Junior Version, which is currently being developed.

Matilda The Musical (in 20 minutes) was released for schools and amateur youth groups (ie. performers aged 16 years or younger) in the UK and Ireland from Autumn 2014. More information on how to apply can be found here. www.casarotto.co.uk/rights

Please note that the twenty-minute schools’ version is not available for licence outside the UK and Ireland.

Please note: NO PROFESSIONAL STAGE OR OTHER AMATEUR RIGHTS ARE AVAILABLE AND NO COPYING OF THE WEST END OR BROADWAY STAGING, DESIGNS, CHOREOGRAPHY OR GRAPHIC DESIGNS IS ALLOWED.

Tim Minchin’s Matilda The Musical songbook is available at the RSC shop in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Cambridge Theatre in London’s West End, at Musicroom stores around the UK and from all good music shops. If you’re not in the UK, the book is available online from www.rsc.org.uk/shop and www.musicroom.com who both ship internationally.
