Matilda Opens in Sydney

Matilda The Musical opened at the Sydney Lyric Theatre in Sydney, Australia last night to a standing ovation with The Daily Review calling the show ‘nothing short of a miracle.’

With the title role on the night played by Bella Thomas and shared throughout the run by Molly Barwick, Sasha Rose and Georgia Taplin, Matilda The Musical is currently on sale at the Sydney Lyric Theatre until the 6 December 2015. Dennis Kelly, who authored the musical’s book, and lyricist and composer Tim Minchin also attended the star-studded premiere with guests including Mel Gibson, Joel Edgerton and Rachel Griffiths.
