Imagine Children’s Festival
01 Feb 2016
As part of the celebrations for the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth this year, Matilda The Musical will appear in the Southbank Centre’s Imagine Children’s Festival including a reading of Roald Dahl’s novel Matilda and a performance from a member of the cast.
The Dahl in a Day event, which takes place on the 18 February, will include a reading of the Matilda novel by members of the public and special guests, including Charlotte Scott as Miss Honey. To mark the unique Dahl in a Day event, we will also be involved by giving a performance of a song from Matilda The Musical in the Clore Ballroom.
Alongside this, Rob Howell, the production’s award-winning set designer, has created a unique installation, ‘Crunchem, Catchem, Spellem’, which will be suspended in the Southbank Centre’s Clore Ballroom throughout the festival and will consist of giant satchels and brightly coloured lettered tiles. The installation is available to view from February 10 2016.
