Where is Matilda being performed?

Is there an age limit / recommendation?
We suggest age 6+, but younger guests are welcome. The show is quite long (2h35 including a 20 minute interval), quite loud in parts and can be quite scary. Children need to occupy their own seats at all times throughout the performance. Babes in arms are not permitted.
What time should I arrive at the theatre?
We recommend arriving no less than 15 minutes before the performance begins.
What’s the running time?
The performance is 2h 35 including one interval
Is there security at the theatre?
Yes. Bag searches are in operation upon arrival.
Can I buy a programme?
These are only available from the theatre at this time.
Can I take photographs inside the theatre?
We are happy for you to take photos inside the theatre before the show begins. Please share them on social media using #MatildaTheMusical. However please note that it is strictly forbidden to take photos or use any type of recording equipment once the show has begun.
Does the show use any special effects?
Yes. Flashing lights and loud sound effects are used during the performance

You will always get the best tickets at the best prices by booking directly through this site: the official website to the show. There are no booking or transaction fees whatsoever.

Do you have tickets for 16-25 year olds?
Yes – these are available on the day of performance in person from 10am at the Cambridge Theatre Box Office. This offer is for individuals aged 16 to 25 who must make the booking themselves. Maximum of 1 ticket per person and proof of age ID will be required. Tickets will be allocated entirely at the discretion of the box office.
How long will the show be running and how far out are tickets on sale?
The show is open-ended. Tickets are currently on sale through until 9 January 2021.
We do not divulge details of the cast schedule as this is always subject to change. You will be able to see which girl is performing when you arrive at the theatre – there is a cast board by the box office in the main foyer.
